The body of the bird is covered with feathers.

there are three types of feathers : 

1) Flight Feathers : Long , strong and stiff feathers, Present in the tail and wings.

2) Down Feathers : soft, short and fluffy feathers that close to the bird's body, Helps keep the body warm

3) Body Feathers : Small and stiff feathers, It covers the whole body
