1) Perching Birds : Have three toes in front and one toe at the back which helps them to hold the branch of a tree firmly and sit on it. this is called perching. Ex : crow , sparrow

2) Climbing Birds : Have two toes in the front and two toes at the back which help them to climb trees . Ex: woodpecker , parrot

3) Scratching Bird : Have claws that can scratch and did the ground to find worms Ex : Hen

4) Wading Birds : Have long slender legs with wide spread toes that helps to walk in the water. Ex : Crane

5) Swimming birds : Have webbed feet which help them to swim . Ex :  Ducks and swam

6) Preying Birds : have very strong, sharp and curved claws called Talons which help them to catch the prey, kill and tear the flesh. Ex. Vulture , Eagle and Owls
