1) The Sun is a huge sphere of hot gasesat a very high temperature. Even thoughthe distance between the Sun and the Earth is very large, the energy sent out by the Sun is the source of all the heat and light on the earth. So the Sun isthe primary source of energy that causes changes in the weather.
2) Energy absorbed and reflectedby the Earth's surface, oceans and the atmosphere play an important rolein determining the weatherat any place.
